Pigment Yellow 74 is a monoazo organic pigment, chemically named 2-[(2-methoxy-4-nitrophenyl)azo]-N-(2-methoxyphenyl)-3-oxobutyramide, CAS number 6358-31-2, molecular formula C18H18N4O6, and molecular weight 386.36. Its density is 1.33 g/cm³, melting point 293℃, boiling point 577.2℃ (760 mmHg), flash point 302.9℃, and water solubility is less than 0.1 g/100 mL (20℃). It has a bright yellow or greenish-yellow hue and belongs to the monoazo yellow product series, possessing vibrant color and high tinting strength.
