Performance Characteristics
Tinting strength: High; vivid colors can be achieved with low loading
Lightfastness: Standard depth 3–4, diluted colors approximately 2; moderate lightfastness
Heat resistance: Approximately 180–200°C in polyolefins; suitable for conventional plastic processing
Solvent resistance / Migration resistance: Good resistance to ethanol, ethyl acetate, paraffin, etc.; prone to blooming at medium to high concentrations in soft PVC
Acid and Alkali Resistance: Acid resistance Grade 5, alkali resistance Grade 4–5; excellent chemical stability
Dispersibility: Good; suitable for inks, color pastes, and plastic systems
Major Applications
Inks: Packaging gravure and printing inks (a leading yellow pigment in the U.S.); offers good transparency and pure color tone
Plastics: PE, PP, PVC, ABS, and color masterbatches; usage must be controlled in soft PVC to prevent migration
Rubber / Elastomers: Coloring of natural and synthetic rubbers; good migration resistance
Others: Polyurethane synthetic leather, textile printing pastes, and stationery; rarely used in outdoor coatings
