Solvent Yellow 93, also known as Transparent Yellow 3G, is an organic azo dye compound. It has a CAS number of 4702-90-3 and a molecular formula of C₂₁H₁₈N₄O₂. It appears as a yellow to orange crystalline powder or solid at room temperature, with a melting point of approximately 180 °C. Synthesized during the development of azo dyes in the 20th century, it is mainly used for coloring plastics, polymers, coatings, inks, and polyester fibers.
