Product Description
Solvent Violet 13, also known as Transparent Violet B, is a high-performance violet-black powder. It is a bluish-violet oil-soluble dye with a reddish-blue shade. It is soluble in organic solvents such as acetone and benzene, but insoluble in water. The substance turns dark green in concentrated sulfuric acid, and forms an olive to reddish-blue precipitate upon dilution. It is mainly used for plastic injection molding, coating coloring, and dope dyeing of polyester fibers, and also serves as a reagent for the spectrophotometric determination of boron.
Solvent Violet 13 features good color fastness, excellent heat resistance, high migration resistance, and bright color. It is recommended for plastics including PET, PC, PS, ABS, RPVC, PMMA, etc. It can also be used for polyester fibers (PET).
