Deep Praseodymium Yellow 1219

Deep Praseodymium Yellow 1219 is a high-temperature stable inorganic ceramic composite pigment. With zirconium, silicon, iron and praseodymium metal oxides as its core color-developing system, it appears as a rich and deep ultrafine powder in dark yellow shade, featuring a calm and vintage hue. Different from the bright cool yellow of Lemon Yellow and the warm orange yellow of Sunset Yellow, it is a specialized dark yellow pigment for vintage dark glazes in high-temperature ceramic coloring, suitable for various middle and high-end architectural, domestic and artistic ceramic decoration scenarios. It boasts excellent high-temperature stability, weather resistance and uniform coloring. Its pure inorganic formula is safe and eco-friendly, fully compatible with mainstream ceramic oxidizing and neutral flame firing processes, and also serves as a key special colorant for dark warm tones and vintage color matching in ceramics.

Basic Information

Model: Deep Praseodymium Yellow 1219 (industry standard model, specialized dark vintage yellow for ceramic glazes)

Category: Inorganic ceramic glaze pigment (yellow-series high-temperature composite pigment, Zr-Si-Fe-Pr yellow system)

Core Composition: Zr-Si-Fe-Pr composite oxide system (zirconium-silicon-iron-praseodymium metal oxide solid solution)

Appearance: Uniform ultrafine powder in rich deep yellow (yellowish-brown), free of agglomeration and visible impurities, with a fine and smooth texture

Note: Pure inorganic composite pigment, non-toxic unlike organic dyes and free of free heavy metals. It differs significantly from Lemon Yellow, Sunset Yellow, iron oxide yellow and organic yellow pigments in shade depth, color system and temperature resistance, delivering mellower and more stable dark vintage color development.

Core Product Features

Ultra-high Temperature Color Stability: Dense and stable composite oxide crystal structure ensures no fading, color difference, blackening or graying at 1300℃ firing. Batch color difference is strictly controlled, supporting large-scale ceramic production with high color consistency, completely eliminating batch color variation and mottling.

Rich Vintage Deep Tone: Presents a deep, calm dark yellow shade with inherent vintage texture, full and stable without floating or off-color. As a specialized dark yellow pigment, it can be used alone for vintage dark yellow glaze coloring or blended with cobalt blue, peacock blue, apple green, titanium white and black pigments to create rich vintage intermediate colors such as earth brown, dark green, caramel and bronze, with extremely high color matching compatibility.

Eco-Friendly, Non-Toxic and Safe: Pure inorganic mineral composite formula, free of EU-prohibited heavy metals such as lead and cadmium, odorless and without volatile harmful substances. Passed international environmental and food contact safety tests, safe for direct use on glazes of domestic ceramics and tableware with no hidden risks.

Excellent Application Compatibility: Easy to grind and disperse in glaze slips and glaze systems. Suitable for full-range ceramic decoration processes including underglaze color, in-glaze color, screen printing, decal paper and ceramic inkjet printing. Smooth application without color spots, screen clogging or floating color.

Outstanding Durability & Weatherability: Finished glaze is scratch-resistant, acid-alkali resistant, UV-resistant and water-stain resistant. Retains rich deep yellow for long-term indoor and outdoor use without aging, deterioration or whitening, greatly enhancing the vintage texture and durability of ceramic products.

Main Application Areas

Architectural Ceramics: Glaze coloring for antique tiles, matte floor tiles, exterior tiles, art tiles and vintage mosaics, creating a calm and vintage dark yellow decorative style with strong outdoor weather resistance and no discoloration in long-term use.

Domestic Ceramics: Food-contact ceramic products such as Chinese vintage tableware, tea sets, coffee sets, storage jars and stoneware, safe and non-toxic, with an elegant and highly recognizable vintage hue.

Art Ceramics: Craft porcelain, decorative porcelain, antique ceramics, creative ceramic ornaments, underglaze hand-painted works and cultural & creative ceramics, meeting the needs of vintage dark coloring and high-end color matching with a warm and heavy texture.

Other High-Temperature Fields: Coloring for sanitary ceramic accessories, enamel products, high-temperature refractory materials, special glass, industrial high-temperature coatings and vintage building materials requiring heat resistance and dark yellow coloring.

Usage Instructions

Mix and mill thoroughly with base glaze, then sieve through a 325-mesh standard sieve to ensure uniform dispersion and avoid color spots, patches or local color differences.

Fire preferably under oxidizing or neutral atmosphere; strong reducing atmosphere should be avoided to prevent blackening, dulling or darkening of the shade, which impairs the vintage heavy texture of deep yellow.

This product has relatively high tinting strength. Adjust dosage flexibly according to glaze formula, target color depth and firing temperature. For color matching, it is recommended to add in small amounts multiple times. Small-batch testing is recommended before mass production to verify qualified hue and stability.
